WEBcnx 2024.1 is out now bringing with it a host of new features and performance enhancements. Read more.

An Introduction to Dashboards

You will have at least one Dashboard, possibly several depending on what your roles are in WEBcnx. They display everything you need to prioritise your workload, view information you may regularly reference and help you to navigate around WEBcnx. All of your Dashboards are listed at the top of the screen. You can drag and drop them into any order you want. If you're using a device with a low resolution or you have so many Dashboards they can't fit at the top of the screen, they will automatically move into a dropdown list of Dashboards instead.

Dashboards are made up of various Widgets. These are the areas on a Dashboard used to display lists of information, charts and other content. There are many different layouts of Widgets depending on what is displayed, ranging from a single full page widget to eight smaller widgets that are more suitable for displaying charts. Each Widget has a number of different Views to allow you to further customise your dashboards.

Unlike earlier versions of WEBcnx, Dashboards now support mixed content. Instead of one Dashboard to display Task data and another to display Design data, you can now combine these into a single Dashboard showing any combination of Tasks, Designs, Customers, Users, Charts, etc.

Customising Your Own Dashboard

Some Dashboards contain fixed information, such as the Directory. These are configured by the Administrator to display a consistent set of information. Other Dashboards can contain a Saved Searches widget that lists all of your Saved Searches

Where there's a list of Saved Searches, any of these can be dragged and dropped onto another widget area already displaying a Saved Search.

Creating Dashboards

Dashboards can only be created and managed by Administrators. Complete details on creating, editing and sharing Dashboards can be found on our Dashboard Administration article.
